Barking bulldogs are a fairly reliable defense against backyard invaders. Case in point: A New Hampshire farmer's two bulldogs took on a black bear.

The wanderer, standing on its hind legs, humbly bent to the two-pronged bulldog attack and fled. According to the video's description on YouTube, the bulldogs broke through a front porch railing to defend their birdfeeder from one of nature's most notorious backyard snackers.

But hey, maybe the bear just wasn't feeling hungry.
