Police have arrested 24-year-old Ronald Beau Marshall in connection with the Boles fire, which overtook the Northern California town of Weed last month, according to a report in the Sacramento Bee. Marshall was charged with arson and is being held on $250,000 bail. A police spokesperson declined to elaborate on how they believe Marshall started the fire or any potential motive.

The Boles fire overtook the Northern California town last month, propelled by high winds and California’s record-setting drought. One hundred fifty homes and eight business were destroyed, and more than 1,500 people were evacuated.
