Great White Shark Rescue Caught on Video

Mar 3, 2011

The footage above probably isn't expected considering the headline. A crew, led by legendary diver Rodney Fox of Shark Expeditions in South Africa, went underwater to rescue a great white shark. The great white had a thin ring of plastic wrapped around its body that had embedded into its skin. As the shark grew, the plastic had stayed in place, resulting in a wound that was three to four inches deep. The divers moved out from the protection of an underwater cave to rip the plastic off.
