Sky and Telescope says that tonight's shower should be the year's "richest and most reliable meteor display," and estimates that as many as two Geminids may be visible every minute under ideal conditions.

In the first few hours of observation this morning, amateur spotters reported up to 40 meteors per hour. Tonight things will only get more spectacular. Bundle up, find a nice, dark hill- or mountaintop, and look East around midnight. We will be.
