A Texas woman is in critical condition after a car struck her from behind while she was riding her bike, Examiner.com reports.

Plano resident and Ironman triathlete, Debbie McGregor, 41, was riding her bike uphill around 8 p.m. when a small white or silver car hit her at about 40 miles per hour, according to a witness. The car did not stop.

The witness and an off-duty nurse tended to McGregor until an ambulance arrived to take her to Plano Presbyterian Hospital. The extent of her injuries is currently confidential.

A manhunt is on for the driver that struck McGregor heading westbound on Windhaven Parkway near the intersection of Plano Parkway. Any information about the accident should be directed to Officer Derrick Hodges of The Colony Police Department at (972) 625-1887.
