Volcano Erupts in Iceland

The Eyjafjallajokull volcano, dormant for 200 years, began erupting in Iceland last week. While those living nearby have been allowed back into their homes, there's still enough action to attract hikers. Those who dream of seeing an Icelandic volcano erupt but find themselves stuck to a desk may be in luck - the  Eyjafjallajokull of 1821 lasted nearly two years.
