Puma Announces Solar-Powered Phone

Feb 18, 2010

We don't know when the phone will hit the U.S., but Puma recently announced they have a solar-powered phone coming to the market. Engadget has more details, but from what we can tell, it will do everything a regular smartphone can do with a few added sports-related features: GPS tracking, a pedometer, and a stop watch.

The solar panel is located on the back of the phone. And the more you use solar, the more points you collect to "spend" on Puma stuff through the phone. Sure, it's no iPhone. But not having to haul a charger around all the time or live in fear of a dead battery? It might be worth it.
