Chris Davenport in Antarctica

Dec 7, 2009
Outside Magazine

Chris Davenport, the pro who skied all 54 of Colorado's fourteeners in a year, is on to the next big project: Antarctica. At the moment, he and a team of skiers are cruising around the icy continent in a 75-foot boat with enough muscle to navigate through icebergs. Along the way, they're exploring new peaks, doing first ski descents, and filming with Jim Surette of Granite Films. Whiteouts, climbing 60-degree couloirs, dodging crevasses, and skiing mid-boot powder (and variable crap) are just the start... Read the gripping play by play on Davenport's blog
