Train Halts Des Moines Marathon

With a quarter mile to go in the Des Moines Marathon, the lead runner Simon Sawe's progress was inhibited at a train crossing. A train stopped and remained parked on the rails for a full minute, allowing a number of runners to catch up to Sawe.  Luckily, Sawe was still able to finish first, avoiding extreme controversy for the marathon judges. Apparently the Iowa Interstate Railroad had been notified about the race, but forgot to change their train schedule.
