Adventure Adviser: Pack the fleece and stock up on hot chocolate mix: Morning temperatures in the Cirque of the Towers area frequently dip down to a brisk, eye-opening 20-degrees this time of year and max out around midday at 70-75 degrees.

"Mornings are definitely chilly around here," says one Pinedale District ranger. How about snow? "Yup, you could get it here anytime, all year round." Want proof? "We had hail last Sunday morning."

The bottom line: This is northern Wyoming and winter's coming. If you've got it and it's warm, by all means bring it. For more info on the area, call the Pinedale Ranger district at 307-367-4326.
