Video: Scientists Find a White Killer Whale

A group of scientists on an expedition for the Far East Russia Orca Project spotted and recorded a video of an adult white killer whale in the waters off of Kamchatka. This is believed to be the first white adult male observed in the wild. Scientists are looking to find out whether the whale, nicknamed Iceberg, is an albino.

"In many ways, Iceberg is a symbol of all that is pure, wild and extraordinarily exciting about what is out there in the ocean waiting to be discovered," Erich Hoyt, the co-director of FEROP said in a press release. "The challenge is to keep the ocean healthy so that such surprises are always possible."
