Why It's CoolFive inches of cush out back and four up front let riders blaze down fire roads yet float above the fray. » The Cake's steering feels assuredly stable, instilling confidence when the scenery starts to blur. » Stability credit also goes to Fisher's Genesis Geometry, which uses a longer top tube and shorter stem—it lessens endo potential by situating the rider farther back from the front wheel. » The air-sprung shocks in the front and rear control the give. A Manitou Swinger 3-Way in back let me and my riding buddies add or bleed out pressure to suit our varying weights, allowing all five inches of travel to work for each of us.

Hmmm . . .The rear suspension isn't as immune to pedaling-induced bob as other setups. Fiddling with the rebound damping helps.
