Westcomb Rampage HX - Rain Jackets: Reviews

Consider this category-defying hybrid a soft storm shell. Waterproof-breathable eVent on the shoulders, arms, and hood keeps you dry, while the seam-taped and NanoSphere-treated Schoeller Dynamic soft shell breathes well and is incredibly water-resistant (and impervious to après beer and wine, which we also tested). Westcomb dared us to take a sander to the stretchy Dynamic. We tore it up eventually, but it lasted a surprisingly long time; standard fleece shredded instantly. 1.4 lbs (M); westcomb.com

Bonus: The Rampage is impressively easy to roll up and stash in a pack.

Bummer: Always running hot? No pit zips.
