Packing down to carry-on size and weighing just 24 pounds, the Helios is light and compact enough for hikes to remote lakes and rivers—or to check on your flight to Belize, without weight or size penalties. The tough, 1,200-denier hull pumps up as stiff as a basketball (with the $30 foot pump that's sold separately), and the rubber-laminated polyester didn't flinch when we intentionally rammed the Helios into submerged rocks.
