Good for Resort
Hesitant about wearing a soft shell to the resort? Relax. In drier climates, the fleece-and-soft-shell Gamma SV is the perfect choice for hard-charging lift-lappers. Built with cozy, high-loft Polartec Power Shield fleece in the chest and a lighter version of the fabric in the arms, the Gamma SV excelled during athletic runs through the bumps and beyond the gates but was still warm enough to let you skip the midlayer. It offered the perfect amount of wind protection and water resistance for most Rocky Mountain storms, although it's not made for big, wet dumps, and a lack of vents means spring days can get a little steamy. While it isn't exactly a steal, you do get a lot of bang for your buck. 1.5 lbs;
