Helly Hansen Ekolab - Hard Shell Jackets: Reviews

Good for Resort
The only uninsulated jacket here, the Ekolab is a lightweight hard shell with resort touches like a removable powder skirt and helmet-compatible hood. Not only did it win over our testers in heavy, wet snow; it also impressed us with its true green cred. We could bore you with a list, but know that everything about it—from the waterproof-breathable membrane (made of nontoxic polyurethane) to the recycled zippers and energy-saving manufacturing—takes your great-grandchildren into account. Bummer: The eco-fabric doesn't breathe quite as well as other materials, and the small pit zips and mesh-backed pockets don't make up for it. 1.3 lbs; hellyhansen.com
