Tubbs Xplore - Snowshoes: Reviews

The best value out there for casual snowshoers, the Xplore is a light-duty shoe designed for packed trails and gently rolling terrain. But our testers found that the aggressive carbonsteel toe and heel crampons dug in well enough on the occasional crust, and the deck provided more than acceptable float in deeper snow. No cheap components here: Tubbs Xplores are lighter and sturdier than most entry-level shoes, with puncture-proof decking and an aluminum frame, and testers reported that the one-pull binding is super-easy to cinch and release with bulky gloves. 1.9 lbs, 25'' or 30''; tubbssnowshoes.com
