Good for Resort
It may look like it schussed in from the eighties ski flick Hot Dog… The Movie, but with all the resort-friendly features—like pit zips and a powder skirt—the Gunpowder is a seriously technical puffy. The real secret to the jacket's performance is that the 750-fill down is interwoven with ceramic yarn that supposedly stores or releases heat depending on your body temperature. Our conclusion: It works. The Gunpowder felt just as warm as our favorite puffy on cold mornings, and testers were convinced it felt cooler on balmy days. 1.9 lbs; powderhornworld.com
