These brown-tint polarized lenses had us fooled; so superfine are the optics, we were sure we were looking through glass. Nope, it's Maui's proprietary Evolution material. The company won't say much about the stuff except that it's some new kind of plastic. Indeed, in a quietly stylish, manly wrap design you could do business in, then unwind with beach volleyball, a hard run on sand, or any kind of sweaty fun where's it bright and glary. It's sportier than it looks. The lens coating sheds water and oil, as in sunblock. Spring-loaded stainless hinges speak to the good build quality. Not Rx-able.
