THE SELL: Lightweight, sporty glasses that change personality with custom combos of lenses and color highlights. THE TEST: With a red-mirrored lens and red inserts at the temples (as tested), the look is Satan on an after-work trail run. Too much? Use Rudy's online mix-and-match ordering to choose another color. The Gozen is built for hard play, with a secure, head-holding slender frame that features sticky-when-sweaty rubber cladding at the ears. The optics of the medium-dark gray poly lenses are, as ever with Rudy, superfine. And we dug the simple, barely visible system for swapping lenses—just snap off the frame component that secures them. THE VERDICT: Lots to like in a number that teeters between sports performance and around town (mountain town, anyway).
Value: 3.5
Performance: 4.5
