Caroline Rotich was riding in a miniature fire truck on Monday afternoon in her adopted hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico, celebrating her Boston Marathon win a week after her victory, when her car was broken into and her purse stolen, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican. She lost cash, credit cards, and her driver’s license.

“It’s kind of a bummer that this happened,” coach Ryan Bolton told the New Mexican. “She just has so much on her plate right now.”

The break-in occurred in a recreation center parking lot, where the parade began. Police are searching for the thief but have yet to announce any suspects or witnesses to the crime. According to officials, the 70,000-person town averaged 35 auto burglaries a month in the first three quarters of 2014.
