DMM issued a recall of these carabiner models, pending user inspection.    DMM Climbing

DMM, a climbing gear manufacturer out of Wales, UK, issued a product recall on Monday for 15 of its carabiner models, subject to user’s visual inspection (which can be done following these instructions), according to Rock and Ice

The product recall notice, issued by DMM, reads: “In a small percentage of carabiners, the interaction between the internal coil spring (which gives the gate its closing action) and the gate pusher (the component that holds the spring against the carabiner body) may cause the gate pusher to displace, potentially preventing the gate from closing or the mechanism from locking completely.”

Photos of the affected carabiner models and a user inspection guide can also be found on DMM’s product recall notice.
