Not sure what good the pistol packing bag would be. Not like you are going to be able to quickly access your firearm when its zipped up in your purse. Of course that may not matter as a gun for most people is only a security blanket. Study after study has shown that in stressful situations most people either forget they have a gun, or remember but end up blindy unloading their clip. Without intensive training or real world experience carrying a pistol is largely useless, except it might make you feel safer. I'm not against CCW exactly but people need to be more honest with themselves about their abilities in a situation that would require deadly force.

For those who follow the CNN type "studies" as have been bogusly contrived and aired as "evidence" of those thoughts expressed by Michael, the honest studies don't show such things to be the reality at all. The reality is that legal handgun carriers are better prepared to deal with hostilities than are mos tpolicemen. This is largely because the improved prerequisite materials covered in most Cary Classes emphasize the legalities, dangers, drawbacks, and other problems with carrying lethal force. This scares people into one of two choices: 1) They decide not to carry, OR, 2) The committo attend weekly training at one or more of the many clubsor leagues or shooting ranges, wherein they participate in live-fire drills, which are of the same type as those used by the best armed forces in the world. A participant in this kind of training gaines all of the benefits of synthetic experience, which, it turns out, is just as effective as real experience in preparing for dangerous events. Participation in such a competition initially produces tunel-vision, rapid heart beat, etc. The paricipants quickly learn how to harness this rush of fight or flight symptoms to healthy advantage. Just ask the numerous "bad guys" who get shot by gun wners and carriers. Ask them how ill-prepared these serious folks are--if they can still talk. Don't believe the hype read in the mainstream liberal media.
