Firearms Allowed in National Parks Beginning This Week

The ban on firearms in the national parks has been lifted as of yesterday. Visitors must still comply with all state laws regarding their firearms, but this is a big day for those who have advocated to carry weapons in parks.

What do you think? About time? Or a bad idea?

Am I now in danger of a bullet to the head by some nut-heads poaching elk or shooting at pine cones? Are wolves in Yellowstone now in danger from people who don't like wolves?

I agree, it is about time. Attacks on hiker/campers are on the increase. A lone female hiker was killed on the AT in Georgia several years ago.
