First Olympic Snowboard Qualifier Canceled

The first of five World Cup events for American alpine snowboarders was canceled yesterday due to poor snow conditions.  The events, held in Limone Piemonte, Italy, will also be used as Olympic qualifiers.  The U.S. Olympic team will choose their Olympic contenders based on their performance during the five World Cup events.  The first event will be rescheduled by international ski officials.
