Gear Army: Lole Women's Travel Pants
The Lolë Women’s Travel pants ($80) were designed specifically for me, I’m sure of it. Okay, so maybe they weren’t, but they fit like they were built for my needs, wants and activities.
The travel pant looks like a dressier trouser, stretches like your favorite yoga pants, resists wrinkles and stains like a sports fabric, dries instantly and stands up to brambles, rocks and twigs on the trail.
I am an adventure traveler and my 10 day trips usually combine extensive backpacking, whitewater rafting, bicycling through towns, photography and nice dinners with good friends. Packing for a variety of outings in one 65-liter pack is exceedingly difficult. I am constantly on the hunt for articles of clothing that are multi-purpose. Pants are one of the most difficult items to choose. But the Lolë Travel pants made it easy. The fabric blend of nylon, bi-constituent fiber and spandex is warm when it’s cold and breathable when it’s warm out. These full length pants both keep your legs covered from cuts and scratches and protect you from the sun with UPF 50+. They are also naturally antibacterial making them perfect for repeated wear on a trip.
The two flat front zippered pockets add a safe place to tuck a few bills, a bus ticket you don't want to lose or a key without adding bulk. There is also a hidden zippered pocket in the waistband for any valuables you want to keep concealed on the go (big enough for a ring, a pair of earrings or a key you don’t want misplaced). The back flap pockets are surprisingly flattering and the wide waistband keeps the pants comfortably in place without bunching under the weight of a backpack or chafing under hip belts.
I usually gripe about the price of active wear, but in the first week of ownership, I wore these pants hiking in the Eastern Sierras (including through a stream), on a five hour car drive, to a nice dinner, an all-day bike ride, and then to work; They are well worth the $80 price tag. Versatile, comfortable, feminine, and rugged, these are the only pants you will need on adventures near and far.

I have pants from Lucy similar to those. They're amazing. I can wear them anywhere--work, gym, lounging around the house. I'm obsessed with them!
