"Girls Shred Too" This January

The first "Girls Can Shred Too" event will take place January 23, 2009 on ski slopes all over the world.  Promoted internationally, "Girls Can Shred Too" is an entire day dedicated to getting girls out on the slopes and into snowboarding.  Head organizer Kassandra Cassily, a certified snowboard instructor, started the event last season to promote more female snowboarders.  The event is geared towards beginner boarders, and provides them with discounted lift tickets, free lessons and rentals as well as the opportunity to meet other female snowboarders.  For more info visit ABC-of-Snowboarding.com
