Meb Keflezighi of U.S. Wins NYC Marathon
Meb Keflezighi became the first U.S. citizen to win the NYC marathon since Alberto Salazar crossed the finish line first in 1982. He clocked a time of 2:09:15.
On the women's side, Ethiopia's Derartu Tulu won with a time of 2:28:52.
Outside associate editor Justin Nyberg finished the race with a time of 2:35:28, beating his pre-race goal of 2:40 soundly. Read more from the NYC marathon on his blog, The Running Man.
