Controversy Over $200 Million Ansel Adams Photos
Controversy has erupted over the $200 million Ansel Adams photos bought at a garage sale, according to CNN.com.
The story about the mystery photos spread quickly this week. Fresno painter Rick Norsigan discovered that a box of slides he bought at a garage sale for $45 and stored under his pool table for a decade were actually 80-year-old long lost negatives by photographer Ansel Adams, according to reports. News broke that the $200 million photos were confirmed authentic by forensic analysis.
Now, Ansel Adams' grandson, is unconvinced and questions the estimated value. Matthew Adams runs the Ansel Adams Gallery.
"I don't think that they've proven that they are (authentic)," he said on CNN.com. "... And I don't know that you could ever prove that they are."
