Skier Killed By Avalanche

A 30-year-old skier was killed by an avalanche in Grand Teton National Park on Sunday, as reported by jhnewsandguide.com. Wray Landon, of Wyoming, was skiing with two others when a slide apparently pushed him off a 1,500 drop on South Teton. His fellow skiers, Brady Johnston and Nathan Brown, were above Landon when the avalanche hit and were  not affected by the slide. They notified park rangers and the police who began a search to recover the body. All three skiers were equipped for avalanche terrain. Visit the National Snow and Ice Date Center to learn about avalanche safety.
