Michael Brown, Erik Weihenmayer, and the Soldiers to the Summit team sent notice that they bagged Lobuche yesterday. It is the first part of a two-part climbing challenge for the 11 injured soldiers and 10 veteran climbers on the expedition.

At 20,075 foot, Lobuche is a spectacular peak at the foot of Mount Everest. The second climb will be up Kala Pattar, an 18,519 foot mountain overlooking Everest base camp. Michael Brown and select company have been filming the entire expeditin as part of the most recent Outside Adventure Film School.

You can hear all about the first climb as the team will report from Nepal during a live web-conference call at 9:45 Eastern. To listen in you should take a few seconds to register in advance. Click here (or go to https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/823602713) to do so.

If you've already got something planned for Friday night, follow the team's updates on Twitter or Facebook, or go to the site and check out the slew of videos the team is putting together.
