Three surefire recipes to supercharge your workout

PRE-WORKOUT ENERGY BOOST
Green Power
From endurance runner Scott Jurek and his book Eat & Run

1 banana
1/2 cup frozen or fresh mango or pineapple chunks
2 cups water
1 teaspoon spirulina powder
1/2 teaspoon miso paste

RECOVERY
Purplepatch Power Potion

1 kiwi
1/2 cup frozen or fresh mixed berries
1/2 avocado
1 cup kefir yogurt
1 cup pineapple juice
2 romaine lettuce leaves
1 tablespoon denatured-whey-protein powder

POST-WORKOUT JUMP-START
Olympic Elixir
