Luxembourg cyclist Andy Schleck has revealed that he lost a week of training last month in order to receive treatment for knee problems. Schleck spent three days at a Swiss clinic in May after developing some issues while checking out the Alpine route of the 2012 Tour de France. The announcement of his recent treatment follows criticism of his performance in the ongoing Criterium du Dauphine. Schleck told Dutch daily newspaper De Telegraaf that he is not panicking over his performance in the Dauphine, which he says is "not surprising" considering his interrupted training. Schleck received the yellow jersey for the 2010 Tour de France on May 29 after Alberto Contador was stripped of his title for doping.
