John McAfee Still Hiding in Belize

Fears 'summary execution'

By: @adnroy)

Software magnate John McAfee is still hiding out in a secret location following the murder of his neighbor on an island off Belize. McAfee, the 67-year-old founder of the eponymous antivirus software company, is a person of interest in the death of Gregory Viant Faull, who was shot to death on Saturday at his home on Ambergris Caye. Speaking to The Telegraph by phone, McAfee denied he had anything to do with Faull's death, and said he believed he would face "summary execution" if he surrendered to police. "I was at home. I heard nothing. I knew nothing until the following day," he said. McAfee says he managed to elude the police last weekend by burying himself in the sand with a cardboard box over his head. In April, Belize's Gang Suppression Unit raided McAfee's property, reportedly to look for illegal weapons and a meth lab.
