Sambazon was founded in 2000 as the first company to bring açaí to North America. Now the market leader in açaí, Sambazon has an expansive product line of organic, natural and eco friendly açaí products. Sambazon is a young, healthy and very entrepreneurial company that makes incredibly delicious and nutritious acai-based foods and beverages. We strive for Triple Bottom Line success (economic, social and environmental).

Sambazon is a young company that encourages its employees to be creative, to own their own projects and to take ideas and run with them. Executives always have the door open to employees of all levels to come up with creative ideas from marketing to shipping. Employees are empowered by the entrepreneurial spirit and business model that Sambazon offers.

Telecommuting and flex scheduling is available to employees, upon petition, which allows employees to work from home so they are available for family. Sambazon employees are given plenty of time at lunch to get a workout in and Sambazon offers a late start time of 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. for employees that prefer to work out in the morning.

Sambazon headquarters are a couple of miles from the ocean, steps away from a golf course, and surrounded by trails. Employees group together before work, during work and after work to go for a surf, swim or run together. Sambazon also has a shower on site to encourage employees to be active during the day. Sambazon offers employees free Sambazon products while they are working and a generous monthly acai plan.

Sambazon has donated over 6,600 cases of 32 oz. juices to Feed America. And our promo team has worked with the following charitable organizations by either sponsoring with financial dollars or donating product for sampling at events: American Lung Association, Susan G Komen Foundation, World Skin Cancer Foundation, September 11th Florida Firefighters Association, Code 3 For a Cure, Race for the Cure, and Walk for Hope.

Sambazon is founded on a sustainably harvested fruit in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest. Sambazon tries to bring this eco-friendly and organic attitude and Amazonian vibe to everything we do. Sambazon gives back to the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest with several initiatives, including the Sustainable Amazon Partnership, which is a public and private collaboration to promote lasting sustainable management of the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest. We print the majority of our POS and paper goods on 100-percent recycled paper/materials. We also select post-consumer recycled packaging, water-based adhesives and soy-based inks for packaging when available. The labels are produced in a carbon offset (purchased wind powered credits) facility, printed on FSC paper, made with 30-percent post-consumer waste, water adhesives and agri-based inks. To reduce our carbon footprint, our main processing facility is located in Brazil. When the pulp is stripped, the leftover seeds are given to local co-ops, such as women who make açaí seed jewelry as a means to supplement their income and help bring them above the poverty line.

The employee of the month is featured in the company newsletter and we give them the front row parking spot for the month along with a gift certificate for a dinner for two to the best restaurant in San Clemente. We throw a few parties per year that are thrown to celebrate our staff or any significant goals that our company exceeds.
