With Tour de France defending champion Chris Froome and a host of the world's best cyclists opting to race in Colorado, the 2013 USA Pro Cycling Challenge featured some of the best racing and fastest riders to ever grace American roads. While Froome was felled by the altitude and a lack of training post-Tour, the race proved to be a form of redemption for Tejay van Garderen after he faltered at the Tour. Overcoming strong resistance from Team Garmin-Sharp, van Garderen won his second major American stage race of the year.
