The ability to inspire, that’s the lone criteria for making this list. The voice of the blog can come from a freelance journalist or a team of sponsored adventurers. How did we pick them? Over the years, we've stacked our RSS feeds with more than two dozen company, magazine, and independent adveture blogs. Some inspire us. Some bore us. Some need to post a little more often. The good news? There's a host of new and regional blogs—Highline, Trail’s Edge, The Snaz—developing distinct voices. They didn't make the cut this year. That's because the old dogs have stepped up their games. Here's the best of the best.

Flag ThisA good list but I would seriously consider adding; http://www.somegoodadventure.com/ Great adventure news content and blog.
Flag ThisAlso missing The Signpost http://www.wta.org/trail-news/signpost
Flag ThisUnfortunately, you missed my favorite adventure blog: www.wildernessdweller.ca. The woman who writes this blog lives alone in the Chilcotin (Part of the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia) in the middle of NOWHERE!!! To reach her cabin (which she built alone) one must take a 40 minute trip in a float plane, or hike for 3 days. Her stories are amazing, and her adventures are very real every day.
Flag ThisI'm a big fan of snowboard blog www.boredyak.com
Flag ThisMaybe not mainstream enough but www.westcoastflyingadventures.com is good with some nice photography.
Flag ThisThanks for the suggestions everyone. I don't think any of these are right for our list, but they have some great regional and sport specific content.
