Carissa Moore, 18, the youngest-ever surfer to win the ASP Women's World Title
The Hawaii native began surfing at the age of 4
Moore won two events on the ASP World Tour during her rookie season in 2010
Even though Moore missed an event in 2010 to attend her high school graduation, she still finished the season ranked third
At the Roxy Pro in July, Moore placed second to four-time reigning champ Stephanie Gilmore but secured enough points to clinch the title. “It was an honor to share The Roxy Pro final with Stephanie, and to be handed to World Championship Trophy by her was a moment that I will never forget.”
