World Heli Challenge 2011

The annual World Heli Challenge in Wanaka, New Zealand, is a chance for the world’s top skiers and snowboarders to flaunt their strongest riding skills on some of the southern hemisphere’s most challenging terrain. Rather than conform to specific judging criteria, athletes are judged on overall impression and encouraged to showcase their individual talents. Scores are then combined with a day of a traditionally judged extreme skiing to determine the best "all rounder." Outside scored the best pictures from 2011’s World Heli Challenge courtesy of event founder Tony Harrington.
