Rafa Ortiz boofing a spectacular waterfall on the Lower Agua Azul in Chiapas, Mexico.
This is veteran mountain biker Ariel Lindsley launching a 40-foot gap jump over an old fire road off the Sawpit Trail in the Soquel Demonstration Forest, near Aptos, California.
Here I caught Lindsley throwing a little style into a corner during a downhill session on the forest’s Brail Trail.
This is Lindsley just before sunset, along the cliffs that overlook the famous Pleasure Point surf break in Santa Cruz, California.
Expedition kayakers, Joel Kowalski, Iker Beristain Van Dusen, Blake Mahoney, and Rafa Ortiz en route to a first descent of the Salto Atoyac and the Atoyac waterfall in Veracruz, Mexico. This train was carrying sugar cane.
The paddlers drove deep into the jungle looking for a spot to put in to the massive Atoyac waterfall.
On the same trip, the guys paddled the Agua Azul, in Chiapas. Here, Van Dusen takes on the double drop. The blue waters are believed to have healing power.
Mahoney, Kowalski, and Ortiz take a break from the Agua Azul to hit a local Chiapas restaurant. For the most part the group was dodged Montezuma's Revenge.
Kowalski drops a 50-footer on the lower Agua Azul.
Ortiz paddles downstream on a lower section Agua Azul. Just after I took this frame, I was held up by a group of 20 Zapatista rebels with massive machetes. I had to pay a very large bribe to be able to leave in one piece.
