Woods, Puccio Win 2012 ABS Nationals
Puccio picks up third consecutive title
Daniel Woods and Alex Puccio beat a stacked field in Colorado Springs on Saturday to win the 2012 American Bouldering Series National Championships. Woods took three attempts to top out two of the four finals problems, barely edging Ethan Pringle to take first place. American Michael Baustista was the only competitor to finish the last finals problem, but was bumped down to third place when he forgot to match hands on the finish hold. On the women's side, Alex Puccio was the only competitor to complete all four problems, locking up her third consecutive national bouldering championship.
