Utah woman gets nod from Guinness
A 101-year-old woman from Ogden, Utah, has claimed a world record as the oldest female tandem paraglider after Guinness on Tuesday ratified a flight she took in September. Mary Hardison celebrated her birthday last year by paragliding with an instructor. She decided to paraglide after her 75-year-old son became interested in the sport. "I didn't want him to get too far ahead of me, so I decided that I'd go too," she said. Hardison's other interests include quilting.
