Julia Mancuso won in giant slalom on Saturday at Winter Park, Colorado, taking her second U.S. championship in two days and her fifteenth career national title. Mancuso was nearly half a second faster than Mikaela Shiffrin, who claimed her own U.S. title in slalom on Wednesday. Mancuso finished the World Cup season ranked fourth in overall standings and second in giant slalom behind Lindsey Vonn. Vonn missed a gate on Saturday and later revealed that she has been struggling with knee pain. She will have an MRI this week.
