Lebanese Skier Shot From Syria
Cross-border incident leaves man injured
A skier was injured at a resort on Lebanon's Mount Hermon on Monday when gunmen opened fire from across the country's border with Syria. Security officials say that the assailants used light machine guns to shoot at a group of Lebanese and Swiss skiers; Antoine Hajj, one of the Lebanese skiers, was shot in the shoulder. Syrian soldiers have fired accross the border several times over the past months. Cameraman Ali Shaaban was killed on April 9 after Syrian forces opened fire on a crew from the Al-Jadeed satellite television channel.
