Russian climber and BASE jumper Valery Rozov has set a new world record for the highest wingsuit launch after jumping from a 6,000-meter mountain in the Himalayas. The 47-year-old extreme athlete made a six-day ascent of Shivling mountain in India on May 25 before choosing a launch pad at 6,420 meters. Rozov hit speeds of 200 kilometers per hour during the jump before landing 90 seconds later at 4,000 meters. His support team took three days to descend. The June 5 announcement of Rozov's record-breaking jump included a helmet-cam video of the descent.
