NBC, Facebook Team Up to Cover Olympics

The Games move online

On Wednesday, Facebook announced that it has entered into a partnership with NBC to cover the 2012 Olympic Games. The world's largest social-networking site will host exclusive content from the London Games, including results and photo galleries. “Social media is an important part of how fans consume and interact during the Olympics,” Gary Zenkel, president of NBC Olympics, said in the statement. NBC announced earlier this year that it will stream every Olympic event on its website, allowing viewers to watch all of the Games online for the first time.
