Levi Leipheimer finished first at Leadville Trail 100 on Saturday with a new record time of six hours, 16 minutes, 37 seconds, the Associated Press reports. The Team Radio Shack member bested the mark Lance Armstrong set in last year's race by more than ten minutes.

While Leipheimer was alone at the top of the podium to receive, he was joined by Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski in beating Armstrong's nascent record. Armstrong was not among the competitors at this year's race.
