Philadelphia is known as the City of Brotherly Love, but did you know that it's name actually means 'sibling love'? The true meaning of city names and other geographic monikers is on display in a slideshow created by The Telegraph. The slideshow samples some of the many interesting entries found in the Atlas of True Names, a series of maps published with the etymological roots of various geological names. Santa Fe isn't included in the slideshow, but we will say this: we're glad we're not based in Chicago anymore. Or, should we say, 'Stink Onion'?
