I’m a subscriber to Outside's print edition. Do I get free access to the digital issues within the Outside+ Magazine app as part of my subscription?
Yes. Current Outside print subscribers can access digital editions on their Apple and Android devices.
I’m a subscriber to Outside’s print edition. How do I access the digital editions?
Follow these easy steps to install the app on your device:
- Tap on ‘Account’ tab
- Tap on ‘Sign In’
- Tap on ‘Print + Digital Subscriber’
- Enter your email address, tap ‘Continue’
- Create a password
- Tap on the ‘Library’ tab to access your issues
(Only issues that are included in your subscription will be available for download.)
I'm an Outside magazine print subscriber but am getting a "Sorry, your email address/password cannot be located" message when I try to log-in. How can I verify my print subscription?
It can take up to 48 hours for a new print subscription to load into our system once it arrives at our processing center. Once your data has entered the system, you will be able to access your subscription. If you are still having difficulty, you can verify the status of your subscription by calling our print magazine customer care center at (800) 678-1131 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I replace my print subscription with the Outside+ Magazine app?
Not at this time. The app is set up to recognize print subscribers to access issues but we are currently unable to take a subscription off of one database and place it on the other.
Can I subscribe to just the Outside+ Magazine app?
Yes. An annual subscription costs $23.99 and entitles you to download every issue for the next year, starting with the most recent issue. Subscriptions can be purchased in the in-app store. If you enable push notifications for the app, we will let you know when new issues become available.
I purchased my subscription directly through the iTunes or Google app store, and I don't see the issues I've previously purchased.
If the issues you've purchased are not available for download, first make sure you're on the same iTunes or Google Play account you originally purchased the issues with. You can restore your purchases by completing the following steps within the app:
- Tap on ‘Account’ tab
- Tap on ‘Restore Purchases’
- Tap ‘Restore’
- Go to ‘Library’ tab
- Download your purchases again
I purchased my subscription directly through iTunes, please explain iTunes auto renewal with for iPad and iPhone subscriptions?
The subscription you purchased through iTunes will automatically continue unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your credit card will automatically be charged for another subscription period at the current subscription price. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your iTunes Account Settings after purchase. Subscriptions cannot be cancelled during the active subscription period.
