As the country begins to reopen, we'll keep publishing news to help you navigate the state of travel today (like whether travel insurance covers the coronavirus), as well as stories about places for you to put on your bucket list once it's safe to start going more far-flung.

One look at the concept Hemispherio Criativo Nimbus e-Car will make you want to find a mystery-solving talking dog and hit the highway.

This five-person electric-powered van sports a micro-combustion generator that gets its juice from solar panels. Bolstering the eco-friendly credentials is a regenerative brake mechanism, which recycles the car’s kinetic energy into stopping power.

Sustainability aside, just look at it. Smooth curves and panoramic windows let in maximum light and offer passengers nearly 360-degree views of whatever beautiful place they happen to be exploring in the Nimbus. Up top, there’s a rack to store gear, and inside, a seven-inch tablet allows the driver or passenger to control things like interior lights, air conditioning, and route navigation. It also relays up-to-the minute information on incline, altitude, weather, and general vehicle info.
